Alan Jones 1979/80 Williams Simpson helmet

A rare Simpson helmet used by Alan Jones whilst driving for Williams in 1979/1980.

This helmet has real wear and tear with debris and rubber present from its last race. Jones won 9 races in 79/80 and was World Champion in the latter year driving a FW07B. A fantastic helmet and one that we have photo matched to the middle of the 1979 season where he won 3 races in a row. The helmet was given by Jones to a charity auction and latterly sold by Sotheby’s so an undisputed provenance and history. Seriously rare, seriously cool.
